The Hüppe Seamlite partition for walk-in showers scores with transparency and an innovative fastening system
Hüppe is taking minimalism to the extreme with the Seamlite frameless shower enclosure, which is now available. “You can’t have less in walk-in showers,” says Christopher Tattersall, who is responsible for product management and development at the renowned shower specialist based in Bad Zwischenahn. In fact, Seamlite is virtually invisible, allowing maximum transparency and creating a feeling of boundless spaciousness. This applies to the versions with ten millimeter thick glass, where the glass wall is completely free-standing, as well as to the eight millimeter narrow models, which are additionally attached to the wall with an extremely delicate crossbar.
Neither drilling nor gluing
This is made possible by an innovative fastening in the flush-mounted profiles, the heart of this new development. The Seamlite profiles, equipped with the Hüppe Keder system, are recessed into the wall so that they are barely noticeable. Thanks to the Keder clamping technology invented by Hüppe, the glass is simply and securely clicked into the profile. No drilling or gluing is required – a unique advantage that noticeably reduces the installation effort for walk-in showers.
Another plus: the keder system means that the glass can be easily adjusted or even replaced if necessary. This means that you can remain completely flexible in your bathroom design if your furnishing style or design preferences change.
Wide range of design options
In addition to the standard version with anti-plaque coating, customers can choose from five different decors with which Hüppe refines the glass partition. Like the crossbars, the profiles are available in high-gloss silver, the matt Black and White Edition surfaces and, from July 2024, in stainless steel. In combination with the intelligent Hüppe Select+ accessory and storage system (design: NOA), Seamlite opens up countless options for customizing the shower. “This is all the more true because, as is typical for Hüppe, Seamlite is also highly flexible when it comes to meeting special customer requirements in terms of height, cut-out and fittings,” emphasizes Christopher Tattersall. “Seamlite therefore offers every opportunity to design the walk-in shower entirely according to your own wishes and needs – making it the place for the best moments of the day.”
Maximum transparency: the new Hüppe Seamlite partition for walk-in showers is virtually invisible. This applies both to the ten-millimetre versions with a completely free-standing glass wall and to the eight-millimetre models, where the narrow glass is additionally attached to the wall with an extremely delicate crossbar.
Innovative fastening: Thanks to the Keder clamping technology invented by Hüppe, the glass is simply and securely clicked into the flush-mounted profile. No drilling or gluing is required. The keder system also allows the glass to be adjusted or even replaced if necessary. Both reduce the installation work considerably. The profiles are available in high-gloss silver, the matt Black and White Edition surfaces and, from July 2024, in stainless steel.
